Class Abilities
Bonus Feats (can be taken at levels 3, 6, and 9): Agile Riposte, Attentive, Creative, Educated, Far Shot, Dead Aim, Meticulous, Mobility, Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot, Shot on the Run, Power Attack, Improved Sunder
Paper Telekinesis: Paper Masters can animate paper in any adjacent square in a basic fashion; outside of her own square, the animation is limited to simple movements. If enough paper is animated and a successful concentration check made, the animated paper can provide a 20% miss chance against ranged weapons.Ink Shift: Paper Masters can cause ink on a page to bleed or change, altering its color or the content of printed matter. In addition to aesthetic effects, this provides a +2-+4 bonus to Forgery attempts when altering paper documents.
Strong Paper: Paper held in the hand becomes mechanically equivalent to hard plastic. The following effects can be created with Strong Paper:
- Mild waterproofing: Strong Paper in water becomes useless after 10d6 rounds (rather than a few seconds).
- Mild fireproofing: Strong Paper burns in 5d6 rounds, rather than immediately.
- Prepared as a move equivalent action, Strong paper does 1d4 damage, crit 20; when attacking objects, it ignores the first 5 points of Hardness
- If prepared as a move-equivalent action and readied versus a pre-chosen target, Strong Paper can become a makeshift “shield”; if the attacker beats the Paper Master's reflex save, they may opt to Sunder the shield; if the shield takes more damage than it has hit points, the Paper Master takes the remaining damage.
Paper Binding: At 2nd level, Paper Masters can meld and repair paper, creating huge sheets and paper chains. They can also adhere it to their bodies.
Paper Defense: At 4th level, Paper Masters can create a paper shield as a swift action. It absorbs damage equal to the Paper Master’s Con modifier plus Paper Master levels. It is destroyed once all damage is absorbed.
Area Control: At 5th level, Paper Telekinesis expands to a 10' radius around the Paper Master. As long as a Paper Master is touching paper, they can use their more complex abilities with any paper within a 5' radius.
Hard Paper: At 7th level, Strong Paper becomes Hard Paper. It works like the lower level ability, with the following improvements:
- Hardness is now 7, 10 hit points per inch of thickness (Paper Master's Con Modifierx1.5 for a single sheet)
- Hard Paper saturates with liquid in 2 minutes, and burns at the end of 1 minute. The Paper Master can also completely flame- or waterproof their paper with a successful Fortitude Save DC 20, but if they save, the paper is instantly destroyed.
Paper Aegis: At 8th level, Paper Defense evolves into the Paper Aegis. It works like the lower level ability, with the following additions:
- The Aegis absorbs damage equal to Paper Master levels plus 2x Con modifier.
- The Aegis can become a 3-dimensional sphere or square, occupying up to 10' square (4 squares), providing complete cover; it can only absorb half the damage the regular Aegis can.
- An action can be readied to give an ally within 10' the protection of Paper Aegis. This protection lasts until the damage absorption is used up or the ally moves, whichever comes first.
Paper God: At 10th level, Paper Telekinesis extends to a 20' foot radius around the Paper Master. All paper within a 10 foot radius can be used by the Paper Master for her more complex abilities, even if she is not actually holding any paper. Paper Masters can also use this ability to take control of paper controlled by another Paper Master within 20 feet; they make contested rolls of 1d20+Concentration modifier+Paper Master Level (ties go to the defender). If the “Paper God” user fails, and the defender is also capable of “Paper God,” she may instead take over the attacker’s paper.
